St James Hospital
The St. James Hospital Group is a leading healthcare provider on the island of Malta. There is a main hospital in Sliema, a smaller hospital in Zabbar, an out patient clinic in Mosta and also an aesthetic clinic called Transforma in Attard.
All private rooms have en-suite facilities, colour TV with English channels, telephone, variable height bed and nurse call system, air conditioning and a doctor on site 24 hours. There is also wireless internet access.
The patient – nurse ration is 3:1
Overnight facilities for companions are also available. The staff are fully English speaking with most of them having trained in the UK.
Visiting hours in the hospital are unlimited.
Fortedent Dental Clinic
All dentistry is carried out at Fortedent Dental Clinic which is located within the Fortina resort which is on the Sliema seafront overlooking the island’s majestic 
capital of Valetta. The Fortedent Clinic is a state of the art dental clinic managed by UK qualified Dr Justin Agius B.Ch.D,M.Sc specializing in Cosmetic Dentistry, implantology and full mouth reconstructions whilst offering the highest levels of dentistry care.
We can arrange for you to have a telephone consultation with your dentist to discuss treatment. If you have any x-rays or scans then these would help at this stage, however in some cases a photograph is sufficient for the dentist to determine treatment, particularly for cosmetic dentistry.

Dermo-Aesthetic Services
Based within the Fortina Spa Resort the Fortederma Clinic offers the highest level dermatological & aesthetic procedures, carried out by accredited specialists who have trained in both France & the USA and who strive to continually update their skills & qualifications.
Most treatments can be carried out within the resort and take just a couple of hours before you can resume normal activities. You can combine treatments with other surgical procedures. Please ask for further details.

The majority of our procedures are carried out at a private hospital on the island and the packages below include the following:-

For orthopaedic or general surgery we ask that you send us reports, x-rays or a referral letter from your doctor that relates to the surgery that you wish to travel for. Dr. Abela happy to advise you as you move forward through the process
For cosmetic procedures, we can arrange for you to have a free telephone consultation with your surgeon prior to booking your surgery. For this we ask that you provide us with pictures of the area on which you require surgery for evaluation. These can be sent to us by post, e mail or via a picture enabled mobile phone. All information sent to us is treated with the strictest confidentiality, pictures will only be viewed by the surgeon and a female member of staff.
Alternatively, if you would prefer a face to face consultation we can arrange low cost mini breaks to whereby you can meet with the surgeon and discuss your surgery and also view the overseas facilities.
